Being a Close-Magician means I get to travel all over the UK at various events and venues and meet so many wonderful people. Some inspire, some make you laugh, some make you feel motivated and others give you strength and make you understand how lucky so many of us are to be healthy.
On Friday 16th June I was privileged to be booked for The Rosemere Touch Of Pink Ball organised by Mr Srinivasan. The evening was a great success with a huge turnout from NHS staff, Rosemere supporters and guests who have stood up and fought cancer. The evening was full of entertainment including the very funny Ted Robbins, Amy Fields playing wonderful music on the violin, myself performing close up Magic as guests arrived and around the tables during dinner and a DJ carrying the crowd through to the early hours.
The atmosphere was fantastic and it was a joy to perform for so many wonderful and inspiring people. We live in such an unfortunate world now as we are confronted with terrible illnesses and a world divided by race and religion that attending events like this make me realise the amount of good in the world and how the human nature and spirit is incredibly strong.
I am sure I am not the only person who wished we could end the divide in the world and cure all illnesses but seeing so many people come together as one is inspiring and makes me see how under such unfortunate circumstances we can all stand as one and support one another.
I was sent some pictures from the evening, which I have shared underneath this blog. If you are affected by Cancer or would like to support The Rosemere Cancer Foundation please click here
So the wedding season is in full swing and I have had the great pleasure of performing right across Lancashire at many events and venues. From Bartle Hall to Shrigley Hall, Grasshoppers to Wigan Cricket club, White Bull at Alston to Hotel Football, Eaves Hall to the Midland Hotel. Each event has been amazing and has been so much fun!
I have managed to find the time to have 4 days away in Wales with the family to recharge my batteries. Even when I am away and taking long strolls on the beach with my dog Mavis, the brain is still thinking and planning new material and looking at what else I can bring to my performance.
Over the last year I have been working hard to bring new routines and ideas into my act and although some haven't worked out I am delighted to say a lot have and so these will begin to filter into my number 1 act very soon.
It gets harder and harder to produce the impossible but its a challenge I relish and am keen to conquer! The best Magic I feel is quick and to the point, highly visual and that will leave people stunned.
It's back to business as normal from tomorrow where I am performing all over Lancashire at a charity event, wedding, private party and restuarant. The fun never stops and with a new website nearly complete, I am just about ready to start filming some new videos, so look out for those too!
So you may have heard about me from friends or family and now want to know why you should book me for your next event rather than another Magician..
There is so much more to performing Magic than just doing trick after trick after trick. My Magic is based on many principles all of which i have learnt over the years. From starting Drama School at the age of 8 i was taught how to perform, how to entertain and how to connect with my audience. Its vital to deliver a polished performance where the Magic is exceptional and the performance is exceptional. I take great pride in each and every performance i am booked for and take great pride in the effects that i have created for you to see up close and personal.
Forget the usual pick a card tricks, the special trick decks and pulling a coin from someones ear. My new generation of Magic delivers so much more! The demand for me to perform across the UK and the world grows year to year, from cards appearing in impossible locations such as bottles, other peoples jackets and even my shoe, to causing smoke to flow from my bare hands and producing various items from fire. Its this level of skill and dexterity that leaves my audience speechless, in fits of laughter and demanding more and more!
I have been very lucky to gain great help and advice from many of the worlds top Magicians including the UK's best Magician Paul Daniels. Each effect is carefully selected, carefully structured, carefully choreographed and practised to perfection in order to look and feel like real Magic.
Magic has become my life, to be able to meet and perform for young or old is a true honour and i am humbled to be able to share what i do each time i perform.
I am proud to perform at any event big or small and will guarantee your event being one that everyone talks about, remembering entertainment like no other.
There are MANY Magicians on the Internet, all claiming to be the next best thing, however my goal and ambition is to prove to each and every single audience why i should be your number one choice:
* Over 10 years performing experience
* Performer at many prestigious events and venues around the world
* Creator of Best selling effects for Magicians worldwide
* Performer for soap stars, Footballers and even Royalty
* Resident Magician at various restaurants and Football Clubs for over 6 years
* Not just Magic Tricks, but a true entertaining performance!
* Award-Winning Magician
* Creative in his art, pushing the boundaries to give you and your guests new Magic that wont have been seen before
So please get in touch and discuss how I can make your next event one to remember!

So its time that of year again! And what a year is has been!!
Firstly apologies for the lack of blogs over the last few months, its been so hectic I actually cant keep up!
The last 6 months has seen us move house and begin work on a brand new office as well as preparing for our second child, which is due in February. Our little boy Ronnie is so excited for Christmas and seeing Santa it makes me wish I were young again!
2016 has been a fantastic year meeting and performing for so many wonderful people; it really has been a pleasure. I have pretty much been working all over the UK performing at weddings, corporate events and now getting into the Christmas spirit with work parties which are so much fun to perform at. New year will see me jetting of to perform at Bahrain and I have promised myself that I will record a very special blog noting my journey and showing some live footage of me performing.
In recent months I have read so many lovely comments and reviews, which just inspires me further to produce the BEST magic I can and share with you all the work. Next year i will be continuing to push the boundaries of live Magic and present new effects which i cannot wait to share!
I have had a lot of people ask about getting into Magic over the past few months so next year I aim to film another DVD teaching you the basics of Magic including effects and presentation.
I do asked for advice on starting out into Magic so i aim to give you a separate blog to help all budding Magicians out there.
Don’t forget my DVD Be A Magician is in stock and can be seen here
as I write this I am just about to leave to perform at a Christmas party for NatWest... Merry Christmas everyone!
Well it seems like a very long time has passed since I published my last blog so I thought it would be good to get back on track and share with you all what I have been up to!
I am delighted to announce that I have been asked to perform again this year in Bahrain. I have already spent the last two years performing on New Years Eve in Bahrain and so I cannot wait to be back this year with new effects and to once again see some familiar places.
We launched 'Magic Monday' last month on Facebook and Twitter and so far the feedback has been really good. Magic Monday offers me the chance to perform a quick effect for you all to enjoy. From producing playing cards to money each video is quick and visual and gives all the followers on social media something extra to enjoy. I must say I have had a lot of fun filming and producing the videos and we have some really good Magic to film soon!
I have been busy performing right across Lancashire the last few weeks and have had a fantastic time at weddings and restaurants as well. A few highlights were performing at Wincham hall in Cheshire. I was booked to perform wedding magic after the wedding breakfast and it was lots of fun. I was booked to perform on Fathers Day at Preston Golf Club for their annual dinner. Nunsmere Hall was a fantastic venue for another wedding I was booked for and Manchester Midland Hotel for Manchester Uni which is always a fun time.
This month I am once again all over the Uk. I have more weddings booked in this weekend and am performing at Rotary Dinners and corporate events for some lovely Hotels in Cheshire! On top of that I am currently moving home so trying to keep all my Magic together (and in one piece) is quite difficult!!
Have a great week everyone!
Its been a little while since I published my last blog so I thought it would be good to catch up and keep you all updated with what’s been happening!
It’s been a fantastic few months for me as I have once again been performing right across the UK.
I had a great time performing at Hale Prep School ball in Knutsford, the night was a great success and all for a very good cause. I do offer my services as additional raffle prizes and auction prizes so if you are having a fundraiser and would like to know more please contact me for more information.
I have performed at various weddings and engagement parties and each one has been a pleasure! I especially like performing at weddings and recently most Brides and Grooms have booked me to perform after the wedding breakfast. I have been at Bartle Hall for Gayle and Ricky’s wedding, which was superb! They had fun family and friends and the reactions were priceless!
Chris and Craig had a lovely wedding at Barton Grange and again with great family and friends. I was very lucky to catch the end of the wedding speeches which were fantastic especially how a special rendition of Frozen’s 'Do you want to build a Snowman' finished them brilliantly!
I also was booked to do a University Ball at Barton Grange a few weeks before with a James Bond theme, The Mayors Ball at The Guild Hall Preston, which was the third year I had been booked to do this event, as well as more Weddings at The Shireburn Arms and the MacDonald Hotel. I have also managed to squeeze in a wedding Fair which was fun to meet new brides and grooms!
This month sees me end the season at Bolton FC. It’s been my 7th season and despite the poor results and now relegation it has been another fun season meeting a variety of fans and it’s a place I will miss. I have more weddings, parties and corporate events booked in the diary and with some filming beginning soon for some special videos it’s a pretty packed month!
You will also see a small update to the website happening soon with some minor tweaks and a new home page with some new pictures taken from some recent events. I must give a shout out to Terry Moran Photography who captured some great pictures of me performing recently. Terry is fantastic at what he does and is a great guy so be sure to check out his work at www.terry-moran.co.uk
My wife and I purchased a new sofa which arrived this week with a special gift.. a new best friend for our son Ronnie. Thanks Sofology!
Well it’s been a great month with lots of bookings around the UK; I have been performing at Restaurants, Football Clubs, Private Parties and Christenings so it’s been quite hectic.
This month also saw me perform at The Etihad Stadium for a school prom, which is the 5th year I have been booked so it was great to catch up with familiar faces and present my all-new material, which I am glad to say, went down well!
It was also great to work for Kia and help launch their new Kia Sportage. I performed mix and mingle magic and with a range of effects including producing a live fish it was quite the night! I had some lovely feedback about the event and it was a pleasure to be part of another Kia car launch!
I thought it would be good in this blog to touch upon some of the events I perform at. Some people assume I only entertain at weddings however I am more than happy to perform at any event big or small. From christenings to birthday parties and from weddings to large corporate events, whatever event you are planning, close up magic is the perfect entertainment that will provide a great talking point for months after your event has finished.
If you’re a business wanting to make a lasting impression then close-up magic is the perfect tool. With a full range of astounding effects and with options such as personalized playing cards with your logo printed on them, it makes the magic even more memorable. It doesn’t stop there, I am more than happy to incorporate any effects you have in mind. One of the best things about Magic is creating new effects and helping your business stand out from the competition and it makes my job even more interesting and exciting pushing the boundaries to help your business and your event the best yet!
It was very sad to read the news that Paul Daniels has an incurable brain tumor. I have met Paul on more than one occasion and was very lucky to spend the day with him at his home talking magic and gaining so much information from who I believe is one of the most knowledgeable men in Magic.
I first started magic when I was 8 years old because of this man. I still have fond memories of receiving my Paul Daniels Magic set with 32 easy to do tricks. It set me on my way and watching Paul perform with his endless talent, his smooth and slick presentation made the ‘Magic Bug’ grow and grow and all I ever think about is being as flawless a performer as what he was.
I have added a small clip of Paul performing his famous Card In Wallet. From a Magicians point of view it’s nice watching a sleight of hand master perform to such a high standard. Its funny, its entertaining and its just so near to perfect I can only smile watching it.
I was always brought up to do things right, never do half the work, if you want to be the best you have to put the hours in, work the effects, get them so good you could do them in your sleep. This is a true example of all those things, all those hours, all that practice but the results are just exceptional!
Our thoughts and prayers are with one of the most influential Magicians we have had and it was a true honour to learn and talk to the man who knows so much about this special art.
So we enter 2016! A new year with lots of exciting bookings and new projects in the pipeline.
I was very lucky to be flown for a second time over to Bahrain to perform for a host of guests on New Years Eve. The event like last year was a huge success and this year was even more exciting and memorable. I once again performed all evening and only left as daylight broke at 6:15am!
It was nice to catch up with friends and see some familiar faces, I performed many never seen before effects as well as discuss new ideas and plan some more effects for the new year.
2015 was another amazing year and to finish off in Bahrain again was a real thrill. Despite being delayed on my return home I came back to the UK ready to perform and start January getting ready for some rather special events.
There have been so many highlights last year and I feel truly blessed to have performed at many prestigious events and venues as well as spend time with my amazing wife and little boy.
As I write this I am preparing for a very busy week of teaching and performing as well as practising some even more spectacular magic effects that I will share with you all very soon!
Well what a year!!!
I actually cant believe its Christmas time already! Each year seems to fly by and the buzz and excitement for Christmas is firmly back!
I have been jam packed with bookings over the past 4 weeks, I was very lucky to perform at more Christmas parties for Lloyds Pharmacy, I have performed for Natwest for the 4th year running! I have performed at weddings, started work for Kia, performed for Asda and The Manchester University so it really has been non stop! I have also kept my regular slots at Bolton FC, Francos and Grimsargh Club!
I finish the year with more Christmas Parties before jetting off to perform at The British Club in Bahrain. This will be my second year away for New Year and it will be great going back and and seeing some of the many friends I made last year.
It really has been a fantastic year, we end on a high especially now being able to announce the new DVD 'Be A Magician' that is available to buy. There is currently a very special deal on Facebook and twitter so make sure you check it out before it ends.
Over the next few weeks there will be more changes to the website. The shop is very nearly ready to go live selling Magic props that will help you impress all your friends and family or that will help the more serious Magician.
I will be launching 'The Magic Sessions' that is one on one tuition I now offer helping teach magic and presentation for serious Hobbyists. This can take place any time at any preferred location.
I would like to wish each of a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Thanks for all the support and for making this year one to remember!
Jason Rea Magic
